Manufacturer warranty, explained
The warranty period differs per product and per manufacturer. The period that applies to your product is stated on the product page itself. How you file a claim also differs per brand: with most manufacturers it runs through a certified installer. Below you can read which route applies per brand.
What's covered
- Material and manufacturing defects for the product's full warranty period.
- Capacity warranty on batteries: the manufacturer guarantees a minimum remaining capacity (typically 60–70%) at the end of the warranty period.
- Repair, replacement parts, or a replacement product, at the manufacturer's discretion and at no cost to you.
- You also always keep your statutory consumer rights (conformity); warranty never limits these.
What's not
- Damage from installation not carried out by a certified installer, or installation contrary to the manual.
- External causes: lightning strike, flooding, fire, physical damage from outside.
- Normal capacity decline within the guaranteed margin (every battery degrades slightly, that's normal and accounted for).
- Modifications you make yourself to hardware or firmware.
How a warranty claim works
Always report it to us first. We work out the fastest route with you.
The manufacturer warranty follows the brand's own route
Most manufacturers accept a fault report only from a certified installer or from their own service partner. If an installer fitted your system, that route is almost always faster: they can measure on site and swap the unit straight away. We supply the documents the manufacturer needs for this.
- 1 Get in touch via the contact form with your order number, the serial number and a short description, with a photo or error code if you have one.
- 2 We respond within 2 business days and tell you which route we are taking and what we need from you.
- 3 If it runs via your installer, we supply the purchase invoice, the serial number and the warranty certificate. If it runs via us, we open the case with the manufacturer.
- 4 We monitor progress and keep you updated until it is resolved. Many faults are in fact fixed remotely with a firmware update.
Tip: register your product with the manufacturer after installation. With several brands the warranty extension lapses without registration, and some set a deadline for doing so. What each brand requires is listed below. Your installer usually does this right at handover.
Under "Downloads" on every product page you will find the datasheet and the installation manual. The full warranty conditions are the manufacturer's own document: request them from us, or use the brand links below.
Per brand: who may file the claim?
Below you can see, per brand, who may report a fault and what the manufacturer requires. Brand not listed? Email us and we will work out the route for you.
